Description

Some properties make you feel alive and present - this is one of them. Tucked among 10.9 wooded acres where two creeks converge, this authentic 1700s Kentucky log cabin was hand-hewn from oak and poplar logs — then carefully relocated here, joint by joint, notch by notch. It's actually two original cabins joined by a shared kitchen and dining area, a build that's the rare kind of charm, craftsmanship, and character that can't be replicated. Mornings start on the deck with coffee and deer wandering past the feeder. Afternoons are for the creek — cast a line, launch the kayak, or just float and listen to the water. Inside, the rock fireplace anchors a living room built for slow evenings, while the exposed hand-hewn beams and original chinking are reminders of the joys that a simple life brings. Two private bedroom retreats give guests or family their own space to unwind — one upstairs in the second cabin, with a deck overlooking the treeline, while the main-level primary has its own fireplace and deck. Easily sleeps 6 or more. A restored 1900s windmill still turns in the breeze, and the 30'x40' oversized garage — complete with a full bath and RV hookups — means there's always room for more. About 90 minutes from Austin and San Antonio, this is the weekend escape people dream about — close enough for a spontaneous trip, enchanting enough that you stay connected to your loved ones and the beauty around you. Minutes from downtown Fredericksburg's wineries and Main Street, you get total seclusion without giving up the good stuff. This isn't a house with rustic touches. It's 300 years of architecture with all the amenities you would ever need. 10.91 Acres | 2 Bed | 2.5 Bath | 2,021 SQFT | Bear Creek & Left Bear Creek frontage | Restored 1900s windmill | 30'x40' insulated barn w/ full bath & RV hookups
